From the moment a student-athlete first walks onto our campus to the moment he/she walks across the stage with diploma in hand, exceptional and comprehensive academic services are available for all University of North Georgia student-athletes. UNG's dedicated athletic academic services staff takes a personal interest in each of our 225 Nighthawk student-athletes that participate in 13 intercollegiate sports, insuring that they excel not just on the field of play, but also in the classroom. Our staff works to provide each student-athlete with the academic support they need to earn a degree and realize their post-graduation goals.
The Assistant Athletic Director, Student Services serves as the liaison between the Athletic Department and the University's undergraduate and graduate divisions, as well as administrative offices across campus. This cross-campus collaboration insures that each student-athlete maintains satisfactory progress toward degree completion, while monitoring academic eligibility and offering major and career counseling. The Assistant Athletic Director, Student Services supervises tutorial services and coordinates all other aspects of the athletic academic support program. The goals of Nighthawk Athletics Student Services are:
